Back to the grind...Ugh.

I went to the gym for the first time in over a month today. =( I thought my legs were going to give out while I was running (on the elliptical). Not to mention the nagging pain in my knee and ankle. I really feel like I'm entirely too young to be having knee pain. Seriously.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I - like the rest of the US - gained some lbs over the holidays. I tried to be good, but those baked goodies are very hard to turn down! It's really not fair. So, me and Melissa made an agreement last night that we would be accountability partners. Yay us! Did I mention that she lives like 1000 miles away from me? Gotta love skype, blogging, texting, and phone calls!!! =D Oh, and facebook. We can't forget facebook. So, last night as we were talking on skype, we decided that both of us needed to get to working out (me to get back to it, her to start - sorry! love you!) and that since both of us needed to we might as well keep each other accountable. She is dedicating her blog to it. I am not, but I'm sure you'll hear...er, read...lots about it in the coming days!

So, here are some of my weight loss goals:

1. Work out 3-4 times a week, including 30 mins of cardio each time.
2. Try not to focus on what the scales say. I'm 143 right now, and I'd love to be 120 but I'm not sure it's going to happen, considering the fact that I do lift weights and I am building some muscle.
3. Get down to a size 6 --> aka, fit into one of my favorite pairs of jeans. =D

Any tips or advice?

I'm sure Melissa would love it if you'd check out her blog. =D

One word: pilates. ;]

I gained 48 lbs when I was pregnant with my (only 5lb 5oz) Abigail! Pialtes worked GREAT for me.

And so I decided to do a lot of stretching and swimming while I was preggo with Selah and only gained 28 lbs! (MUCH easier to lose)-but still used pilates to do so.
